Our team together with partners from Kazan National Research Technological University presented new developments at the Kazan Digital Week International Forum!

We have presented an innovative software and hardware complex that allows to automatically determine the functional condition of a person by the reaction of the eye pupil to light. For example, it can be used to detect fatigue, alcohol or drug intoxication of the driver in order to prevent possible emergencies and incidents. The system consists of an IR-sensitive video camera, flash, infrared illumination and a personal computer with software.

The development is based on computer vision, image processing, artificial intelligence, and also algorithms of deep neural networks that are used to detect obstacles. The source code is written in Python.

The President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Maksut Shadaev took part in the opening of the Kazan Digital Week 2021.

In general, the forum is focused on digital intelligent technologies and innovative products created on their basis. The main directions are digital industry 4.0, intelligent transport systems, cybersecurity, the fintech ecosystem, etc.
